Omg! I might have read it wrong or it might be a translation mistake but at the end of chapter 10.2. The transfer student said "on their THIRD try." So if I'm not wrong maybe they both traveled back in time, just like some people have said in the comments! (⊙…⊙ )

To burst your bubble nope it's not like that. here's what happened:

1st try was the original story where guy died
2nd try girl was successful in ignoring guy ending she died before graduating
3rd try successor of time god reverts time making girl believe it was just her 2nd try in saving guy

I don't understand the last scene though. Why was he running to the tree to meet a Ritsu with short hair, even though the previous pages just showed her with long hair on the roof with their friends?

That happens in the present timeline after graduation I think. She probably cut her hair for a fresh start at university or sth.
