I don’t blame Sumi because I think it would be physical, emotionally, and psychology exhausting to have an uncontrollable irregular heat cycle with extremely strong pheromones. He was rapped at least once, by his best friend no less, his current job is using as a sex toy and not seeing him as a capable human being (which wouldn’t be too bad if he was ok with that but it goes against Sumi’s morale beliefs), and the man he loves can’t protect him and he wasn’t sure of his feelings. On top of all this, the only way Sumi can stop his heat problems is to bond with an Alpha. Unfortunately for Sumi, when he was at his lowest he fell right into the scheming scum Alpha’s lap.
