Does anyone else experience this?

I've kinda dubbed it situational anxiety. Bc my "anxiety" only happens when doing really specific things, and there's clear triggers, such as grocery shopping. I cry almost every time or have to find a quiet spot to compose myself. And god halp omfg halp if someone tries to talk to me during it. Or ordering at the counter of a shop, I just can't. (I cried last Sunday bc someone in the meat isle tried to give me advice on meat and I couldn't say no, and then another came and I was just incapable of communicating properly and I was legit having an anxiety attack, I feel rly bad for them bc it was obvious I was about to start crying and I know I made them uncomfortable, I just idk, I couldn't do it, much sorry if you're reading this, it's not your fault, I'm just a mess.)

But it doesn't affect me with things like answering questions in class, or getting homework done, plus I've been in numerous leadership positions and "high stress" situations without having any issues. Like, most ppl tell me I have a very assertive nature by default, and only those close know that sometimes I call them while grocery shopping bc if I don't I'm going to panic. If I drive with someone I'm fine btw, or if someone is with me, it's onyl when I;m alone.

I'm only asking bc the other day my prof. was going over some personality assignments we'd filled out, and my sociability score was 5/11 and she was all, may as well trash that bc I don't believe any of your results are accurate after hearing that. (she said it with humor, but I felt like crying, it was the first time anyone had said ANYTHING like that to me before.)

So I blurted out "It's bc I have anxiety" and she froze and was like oh, I wouldn't have pinned you for that.

And to be fair, it's never been diagnosed (bc I'm afraid to go talk about my issues with someone and it's too expensive), and I have suffered some major traumas (car wrecks, abuse, rape, blah blah), but I don't consider them to be defining factors in my everyday life or the reasoning behind my anxiety.

Anyways, does anyone else experience something like this? Like have something that fucks them up (not trauma but just weird instinctive behaviors like freaking out in a grocery store)?

Hmm, I thought that at first, but it's not just grocery stores, and I'm not afraid, just super duper stressed out.

phobias are anxiety disorders, it could be a fear ( or stress) of confronting people alone in a certain environment, honestly even if its just one visit, try to visit a clinical profession so you could at least get a diagnoses

I cant confidently say this though since we haven't done psychopathology in my psychology class yet
