It tells you in chapter one four of the sects turned on him and killed him but but the rest of the world was told he lost control of the fierce corpses and they killed him.
Can't express how much I love this Novel I really want to thank Mo Xiang Tong Xiu for this masterpiece

I'm really confused how he really died. Did he died because Jiang Cheng killed him or he did because he destroyed half of the Stygian Tiger Seal?
