I'm not mad with Henry

I wanna say I wrote this before I read ch.44 and now I am slightly mad at Henry.... coulda totally avoided that situation, but alas I feel like I will have to end up dropping this soon.

????? You can be mad that Sam isn't self-aware but you make it sound like it's intentional? I don't know why you guys are so hell bent on making him out to be some shitty person when you know that's not it. You know that it's just that in your minds, the uke (aka the girl, aka the person you project yourself onto) can't ever be wrong, so you will accept that Henry is being an idiot for being mad at Sam for god knows what reason when he didn't tell Sam he liked him until now, AND you will make up as much shit as you can about Sam so poor Henry doesn't have to take the blame. This kind of logic is so stupid.

First of all Henry’s indecisiveness is part of the problem. And let’s stop with this seme and uke thing...it’s really rude and offensive especially since none of them are the girl and that’s very demeaning to women. I don’t identify with Henry much but like I’m not saying he isn’t problematic? Y’all need to stop making Sam seem like he’s a child sure he was clueless about Henry’s crush on him but he also had some sort of possessive tendencies over him so he isn’t all that innocent and like I said he never had to think about what he felt towards henry since Henry never ignored him like he does now. All I said about sam wasn’t completely made up but rather what I either inferred from what he’s done or something he’s actually done. He may have done these things unintentionally but it still had around the same effect. Also in my opinion Henry isn’t mad that Sam didn’t like him rather I think he’s annoyed that he still has feelings for him and Sam seems to just have suddenly grown feelings for him after his confession. He may be feeling Sam’s just going with the flow in order to keep their relationship the way it was before. Or there’s also the fact that sam is now smothering him with his feelings. Idk tho

Finally just because I defend Henry doesn’t mean I project myself onto him??? Like does that mean you’re projecting yourself onto Sam? Either way it doesn’t matter since not everyone’s gonna like a certain character and there’s enough hate on both Sam and Henry.

How I know you’re one of then? Because pretty much you failed to point out anything about Henry and tried your best to demonize Sam, like his lack of self-awareness equates to being a piece of shit. And possessive tendencies? Did you read all the parts with Seth with your eyes closed, or is that your selective evidence for why you pettily think Sam is some garbage asshole? Advice: Do read the parts with Seth again and try your best to not ignore his possessive tendencies to bolster your opinion.

I just see both characters as complex characters that aren’t the best for each other. They both have their problems. I won’t reread any chapters. Seth is showing signs of being kinda possessive but if I’m correct he hasn’t really done anything that made Henry feel bad? Well from what I remember it hasn’t pressured Henry into thinking a certain way or made him uncomfortable. This is the last reply Since you seem kinda rude and in no way are we gonna see eye to eye if you keep name calling.

I think its all a matter of how people look at it really. When I see Seth and Henry together, I can see what people see with the cutsie seemingly comfortable relationship. But I only see that when Henry is teasing Seth and more or less treating him like a child. As soon as things get more serious the more uncomfortable I see Henry become. He may not say very much verbally, but his body and reactions speak volunes to me. And I have seen a couple of instances where he has been more forceful and not taking those cues. I also see the potential for it getting worse(not that it will, just potential).

On the other hand, when Henry and Sam are together, I can see where people see Henry's discomfort around him. But to me it is a whole different kind of discomfort to Seth. Most of this has to do with Henry, instead of talking(and bu talking I mean real talk from him and listening to Sam), he wants to have his mind already made up about everything and use guilt as a clutch.

I still don't ship anyone, just acknowledging that they all have a part to play in this mess. No one is "innocent", blameless, or deserve full blame. But at this time, the ball is in Henry's court. He needs to talk, even if that means he says he doesn't know how he feels and needs time to sort through some stuff. But in order to sort through anything, he needs to give Sam the opportunity to speak his truth. Then he'd have the full picture, and not a self made image.

Again, it really is just how people interpret the things said, not said, actions done, not done, and subtle body reactions and facial expressions, which all may or may not be easier to see irl. But it is my take on it.
