14 yrs of age in Ancient China is an adult preparing for marriage. Like they literally just get married at the age of 15. 20+ is old maiden
Not supporting child marriage but that was just the culture.
Not just Ancient China, if I remember once I was told that the Virgin Mary was 14 when she was pregnant with Jesus and married to Joseph.
