There's never an excuse for abuse

With this story I understand him a little better and why he's like he's, but still, there's never an excuse for being an abuser, whether it's domestic abuse, psychological abuse or whatever, NEVER. I still can't forgive him. He should have let himself get help by the one he supposedly loved, he just didn't wanna change at all ( ̄へ ̄)

I don't think anyone is asking for forgiveness. What you should gain from reading his perspective is empathy. While abuse is not justifiable, it's important to understand the circumstances that could lead an individual to express through violence. "Black companies" as they call it actually do exist in Japan -while this is a fictional story, there are people in similar circumstances to Kan.

there's no empathy to gain from this. im well aware of the existence of these companies and the trauma and hardships they put you through, but there's no excuse, NEVER, to abuse of another human being just because you are in pain. no empathy for an abuser, NONE.

So what you're saying is that you can't empathize with a victim of abuse because they lashed out to another human being as well, right? That doesn't make sense to me. Kan is as much of a victim of abuse as he is an abuser. Don't know how you can dismiss one but not the other.

because instead of getting help he hurt another human being. i have been abused and sexually harassed, i suffer daily from my own demons and even deal with anger issues, yet that's not an excuse for me to go out and abuse of another human being. as much trauma as he has been through, there's never an excuse for abuse.

Thank you for having the courage to be vulnerable with your own experiences. Still, I do stand with what I've said. I absolutely agree that there's never an excuse for abuse. However, having empathy for one's situation doesn't necessarily equate to justifying or excusing said behavior.
