All higher ups never care of common folks. Even in today's world.
They thought they were invaders trying to take over their land, so it's sort of understandable why they attacked the foreign "castle" that just popped up out of nowhere with foreigners they have never met before that are uninvited and unknown during the most darkest and bloodiest time period imaginable.
Yeh those we consider hero of the past doesnt give a damn about us even we held a great ceremony for them.
