I agree with you on this. And i don’t think Sam is toxic. I think he is dense af though lol But he is someone who’s trying to figure out his own feelings, so i do want to see his character development.
Henry on the other hand.... i honestly don’t quite get his reasoning for not accepting Sam. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
I feel like Sam is a classic example of a good character ruined in order to make the story more interesting. Like, I’m still undecided over who I’m rooting for, but I would be confused too if I was in Sam’s position. Your best friend confesses to you and then sends you mixed signals when you try to be with him? Doesn’t seem too fun in my opinion
