Haha, I always remember that every manga has some kind of story to tell regardless of what it appears like on the surface. Bara is targeted for gay men for sure, and a lot of it does show a lot of sex scenes, but there's some bara with very important storylines too. Have you ever heard of My Brother's Husband? It's getting a Japanese live action movie and it's all about a Japanese man and his daughter accepting his late brother's canadian husband, and it's a "bara" art style with no sexual content, just pure LGBT storytelling and education. It's interesting to read about the Japanese LGBT lifestyle told to us in a gay man's manga!
