yeah no usually I'm all for the "try to understand how the character feel" but not here. She was so full of herself from the start, already assuming she was so close to dating the guy because she was a pretty girl even tho hyeon ho didn't show any interest in her from day 1 and when she finds out who the guy is dating she proceed to harass his lover. And btw, she's "lucky" it's a guy because she have an "excuse" to be such an ass, but I'm pretty sure it would have been a girl she would have acted the same.
There's many people that get rejected everyday and all of them don't go being an asshole about it and trying to hurt their crush's lover.
She is hurt, jealous, sad and she is from a country where you don't usually see gays, so it is just normal she is shocked.
She didn't react well, but seriously, right now all the school could be talking about them and Hyunho's career could be over. She is venting her frustration in the less harmful way.
About the handkerchief part, it always startles me in asian comics how men and women are supposed to be doing things so differently.
The other day I read one where a man and a woman were in bed. She answered a work phone call and the dude got angry "Are you a man!?" and broke up with her.
Women are supposed to carry handkerchiefs, band-aids, be quiet, eat scarcely, have light skin, not walk around alone if they have a boyfriend and in general be men's servants.
And of course men should be just the opposite or "Are you a girl or what?".
I think their culture is still like that. Not that the rest of the world sees both sexes the same way, but I think that for asians the change is coming slower.
As toxic as all the people calling her a bitch without trying to understand her. I really don't see the difference.
