Story content aside, Taesung’s internal dialogue was heartbreaking. There’s nothing more heart-wrenching than really caring about someone while also being aware that they don’t have enough space inside them to love you atm. Of course, it’s Taesung’s choice to stay, but it’s so relatable. Those dark nights of the soul where you want to leave them, but you just can’t leave even when your heart is breaking.
A part of me also feels for Sonny - Taesung is right, he’s blindly lurching around the fill the hungry void inside. What feels so sad is that Sonny (whether he’s self-aware of it right now or not) is destroying his refuge by wearing down Taeaung’s heart. I just hope that there’s enough left for both of them when the damage is done.
See? This is what most people don’t get, they’re like “sunny is a terrible person” but that’s not rly it, he just has a past haunting him and wants to find love again but on the way is making mistakes.
