It’s too early to conclude on his intention, but personally I don’t think the gramp is trying to seperate them.
No, Grandpa is finding a way for them to be together. He's looking for someone qualified to train Gensuke since Grandpa can't do it because he specializes in female roles. I think he would let Gensuke take over their theater so that Sou and Gen can be together. Not sure but I'm pretty sure Grandpa isn't trying to separate them.
I'm not sure if I'm following but... so basically, the grandfather is thinking of a way to separate them two? Is that it? And also, I wonder why he decided to train the brother. To create a rival for his own grandson?
