I’m so glad she’s calmed down these past few chapters. She was acting so childish & spoiled b/c Lex wouldn’t come out. She wasn’t considerate of his feelings, keeping in mind that he’s the same person at the end of the day.

yeah, me too. I was just thinking, i mean at this point he wasn't even going to kill her anymore, so why did she keep wishing for Lex? I get that she misses him, but in thinking like that, she's completely disregarding Rowan's own say. I mean, what guy would be happy not being able to control his own actions, or what he says and does, for the whims of others?

I think u missed the point. She wasnt wishing for the magic to come back. She was wishing that the duke would actually love her. Even Lex causes her pain because she knew it was not true. If someone started to make u love them, marry them, and then turn back to the cold guy that wants to murder you again, you would feel desperate too. Thats why she didnt call for Lex, she called for the duke actual name, and the actual person. The reason why the magic didnt control the duke anymore is that she didnt ask for Lex, she asked to be loved by the Duke. Anyone who almost got murdered by their husband true identity will not be thinking straight. Let a girl have her trauma. You can see the pain she has, and the insecurity she feels as a person who just happens to be his wife because of magic. How out of place and undeserving she felt being a wife to the richest and powerful man in the country, and ridiculed by society for not being good enough. Through all that, you dont expect her to be desperate for the one she loves, who can easily throw her away once the fake magic love ends

hm.. no... i seem to recall that she wanted Lex because he was sweet to her, and all that jazz, while the duke wasn't. Also regarding the rest of you comment... it's not that deep. At least, I don't remember it all being that deep...?

and you know, her calling the duke's full name, was her maturing.

I would see it a different way. Its a journey of a low-esteem woman coming out from her brink of death, and then being placed on a pedestal by her enemy. She grew to love him and was mature in how she married him.

written in the chapter about how she refused his marriage so many times but relented because she felt responsible for the curse and he was on a hungerstrike. And its stated that she fell in love with him during their marriage. She's wishing not just because Lex was sweet to her but because she was afraid that she would get killed if the original duke back. She also stated how hurt she felt that Lex is not real. I think the real reason she called for his name is because she knows the duke wont kill her anymore, but she was afraid for another reason. She had only knew the Lex side of the duke as her only world in the foreign country. And she had nothing that would interest a duke to stay married to her despite that fact that she was already made to fall in love with him. Imagine if your lover disappeared, even if it is a dream. It will still hurt. And knowing that he might throw you away if you dont meet the standards of being his duchess that rules over her subjects. And knowing that he's never loved you at all. It would be a gargantuan task for someone who was treated as a servant even in her family. Furthermore, she thinks the duke no longer has considerations for her since he even cuts off her hair over his own shirt. We know later that he wasnt thinking straight, but to her its really a big blow to see reality again. So really, I won't blame her. Furthermore, she's asking the duke to find out about ending this curse as well. So i think it doesnt make sense that she would be finding out about ending this curse, and then cursing the duke again? Its like doing two opposite things at once
