i'm pretty sure I've read the novel version of this two(?) years ago. Can't remember the title though.. So, who copy who, im not sure.
But for those who read novels, this is just an overused trope. I can list a few with similar plot lines.. But what sets them apart from each other is the character development and how the story progresses as it goes further.
You can drop it or give it a chance.. But don't conclude that this one is THE copycat. I can't present a proof though as I can't remember the title. Since there are so many similar novels like this that I've read, I lost track of them..lol (〜￣△￣)〜

Someone would have to check the release date to find out who's copying who, and I don't know if that's possible. Unfortunately, Mangago is not useful in this subject, because almost always they have a bad first release date. No matter who copies who I just said that I like The Peerless Consort more and it has a nicer art. Everyone can have their own opinion.(▰˘◡˘▰)
