I believe it is explained that he has some curse that doesn't allow him to be kind or something along those lines to women.
well i still dont think thats a passable excuse he is an adult and even if he doesnt actually feel like it he should be responsible he doesnt need to be kind at least he could let them live in peace he could be indiffrent to them instead of abusing them a five year old just lost her life like that without ever really expriencing life and it really was a unnecessary death he seems to me like nothing more than human garbage

I don't care how mean she is she is a 5 years old child and her behavior is bad because of how they spoilt her before the emperor is a haerthless son of a bitch that doesn't deserve happiness nor his daughters for that matter this is serious child abuse I know that child abuse was common back in the day but it's still not okay
