I think so too. I wish the author went deeper into the young master's character, since from the bits that I see it's pretty interesting. He's not just some uke who was being led around and always need to be saved, but it wasn't shown much and his character ends up shallow. What a pity, since this author has always been good at characterization, everyone in her earlier mangas is so interesting they becomes one of my favorites
True, this story was a... surprise after how nice her previous characters were. I genuinely thought the butler and young master weren’t endgame at all until maybe the third chapter, but by then it was still a “Oh, okay... it’s the Young Master, I guess...”-feeling.
I felt the same way. He was fluffy and wholesome but I guess he was too good to be true? There was nothing much going on about him and I just found that so... bland. But well, if they're happy then ok.
I lowkey shipped the butler guy with the redhead, and again with the fake prince...
The young master character was cute but... lacked layers? But that’s just my personal opinion. :)
