I might be wrong because i am just guessing, but what is sure is that he gave birth to twins, one got taken away and the other is the ill kid he calls nephew so they won’t take her too. Jake was his best friend but it seems he did something unforgivable to him so he kinda hate him even tho Jake loves him a lot.
My guessing are: kyle’s family is the one who took the baby away, i think he and Sean were a couple in high school.. but i think the father is actually Jake dunno why.
