Sometimes, I still get the urge to suck my thumb when I'm stressed, especially relationship based stress.
Many people have self abusing habits that we created for cooping reasons (smoking, alcohol, violence, shouting, etc), but we can control ourselves. It is something that will always be with us. We found the inner strength to stop and we can continue to do so.
