Tbh this was amazing to read. What an amazing human being, not everyone has thoughts like yours. There's been a similar scenario in my fathers side of the family and it completely teared it apart. I wish every human being would think thoroughly about it like you.
i'll be honest: There have been several times where it's been hard for us to stay together and you wouldn't believe how many guys have tried to pick him up, but he's an outstanding human being because he always places us first. I'm fatally human and there have been a few really good men who have had interest in him and at the time I might not have had a hard time handing him over but not now. I'm older, wiser, tougher and I take crap from no one, and we always have a good laugh in remembrance because his answer has always been a snicker and "Oh, she'll know! She knows even before I do," and when he has told me these stories, he has taken me in his arms and said "You're the only one for me." And he fell in love with me because I'm not particularly feminine. There was even a point where he has said I'm his favorite man. If you are strong enough you can make it work. :)

I come from a unique standpoint. I am the wife of a man who is attracted to men. I have grieved and fought with my emotions for a very long time and I have come to the realization that I can't change him, but I *can* change myself, so I have learned to adapt and become his perfect partner. (Twenty years and counting! ) I would like to think that at least one (if not both ) of their wives have at least *some * idea of what they were getting into. I know different cultures handle things like this differently and social obligations and stigmas are entirely real, but sometimes obligation and companionship override what we really want. I actually applaud these two for keeping their heads reasonable. I can see the hurt and anger their families would have, and it would be understandable, but the fact that they are still together after all those years? Beautiful in my eyes.
