My girl cousin had let me borrow her psp for a week and while I was exploring though the device, I found a youtube video of “Man’s best friend” downloaded. The yaoi manga was about a dog who wished to be a human so he can be with the guy that protected him. I was shocked at first but kept replaying the video and rereading it especially since it’s accompanied with a really catchy song (which I’ve been trying to find).
Through blogs. There was this site where I started a litterature blog, mostly giving reviews 7about the books I read and was looking for other blogs like mine for recs. Then I saw scans of the firsts few chapters of Totally Captivated in French. I was 16 and that's when I started liking yaoi.
There was not that much translated in french and then I discovered Mangafox. But the idea of reading in english while I was bad with this language was a but of a put off. So I gave up. I switched to animes one year after and discovered Sekaii Ichi Hatsukoi then. I then remembered Totally Captivated and put up with the english barrier. It made my english improve quite a bit and now, I feel so weird when I come across a manga translated in french.
Actually it's pretty funny two or three years back when I was in 9 or 10 standard I was an otaku but I had no idea what was yaoi or BL while scrolling down in YouTube it was in my recommendation it was written BL or Yaoi i was curious so I click it and BOOM! I'M A FUJOSHI NOW (≧∀≦)
