You have to see it from her point of view which is how the manga is. To here her family was not punished enough for the sins they have committed. She believes she was reborn so that she can atone for their sins. Even if she was naive and didn't know what her family was doing because she didn't she feels as if that in in itself is a sin. She doesn't want anything cause she was giving everything she could ever want but is was at the cost of her people. I do truly believe that the lord did love her in the past but he had to what he did because he was given not other choice. I want them to be able to be together once again. I just hope that if he ever find out that she is his former lover that he had no choice but to execute then they can resolve their unsolved issues and live happy ever after.
