This is not about Yona, people, this is about Hak!!!!!

The problem I have with this is that this is not about Yona. Sure, her attitude is a huge throwback, but that's not even the main problem. She's the princess, she's secure in her position. The dragons are also secure because of their public personas. Lowering their heads now will not mean anything to them. But what about Hak? Hak is viewed by the entire kingdom as a traitor, by the army as the man who's tried to kill the king in several occasions. He is now in the middle of enemy territory, with enemies all around him. At this moment Yona is Hak's only shield, and if she doesn't take a position of power within the court NOW, she will be useless to protect him. People are talking of her being a bigger person, and needing time to process, but SH*T Hak's life is in freaking danger and the fact that she doesn't even think of it for a second gets me so mad. That is why I'm dropping the series. Not the fact that she's back to a useless princess or anything like that. It's the fact that she hasn't for a second realized the position she put Hak in, and she is not that stupid not to know it. Hell, the moment they came back to the castle she got a glimpse of how things would be. He's been protecting her with his life all this time, and now that is her turn to protect him, she's not even thinking about it. F*ck, it breaks my heart because their priorities are way too different. Hak is always thinking of her, and after the last arc I thought she had finally arrived at the place where she could meet him half way but now they are sending all that development to the ground just to make the readers empathize with, oh poor Yona, she's surrounded on all sides, oh poor thing, she has to swallow her pride, oh poor Yona, poor Yona, poor Yona. The author is making her into a stupid victim and I hate it, because Hak is going to end up as collateral damage in that process. Something terrible is going to happen to him, and only then, will Yona snap out of this rut she is into and go back to the strong girl we like, but at that point, Hak will have already suffered. That's what bothers me. Hak always has to be the catalyst for her character development, and he always ends up hurt in the process.

Well, to be fair, it wouldn't be the first time she forgets about him and the sacrifices he made for her so... I know he won't die (well, can't be 100% sure, but almost 80%), but he's gonna suffer, or he's gonna be exiled again, of that I'm sure. People won't let him stay there.

I’m not dropping the series, still hoping for something, but i agreed with all your saying. Hak sacrifice a lot for her but did she ever think of it? Oh gosh it breaks my heart even more. Now I don’t care about her i just want to kidnap Hak n let him live his life as he please (not guarding Yona again). He suffered a lot.

the way your fucking comment broke me bro. this is still my favorite manga and i wouldnt just drop it like that but its foreal making me so angry with the way the story is going. like how can they not see the position hak is in rn. he does so fucking much for them and theyre all just here???? listening to soo won to participate in a dragon festival???? and yona just listens to kye sooks commands like shes not a freaking princess. with not a single one of them thinking about hak and how hes just left outside the castle yet they dont even care. the moment he was allowed to step foot in the place he had to hear about some dumb fake engagement congratulations. it makes me so mad that theyre all just disregarding him completely as if he wasnt apart of their team. he deserves so much better.
