The first ever yaoi I came across was sekaiichi hatsukoi....and I was a bit more curious.... And watched super lovers......then I read the manga version....

humm I once saw my elder sis reading a manga where two guys were kissing, the first thing I thought was "wtf...?" i was really confused. I didn't want to read any yaoi.. actually I avoided all of them. you see back then I read shoujo I don't know why cuz I always thought "wow they're so fake to each other ..." specially with the cute too girly and emotional mc and a strong and popular guy theme, but despite that I'd still read them. one day I came across a manga, the cover was cute so I thought I should give it a shot (btw I didn't know about yaoi(shounen ai) tag and the charachters looked like a tall girl and a short boy(the seme had long hair)) and when I finished it I immediately stared crying cuz I felt REAL LOVE between them. to me it was beautiful. that's when and why I started reading yaoi(shounen ai). ╥﹏╥ I just can't stop now.... no matter how much I try to stop myself I just can't .... I'm addicted....
I was appealed by two men together. I started liking male x male characters when I was about 9 years old, then I '' accidentally '' watched Koisuru Boukun when I was 14 years old and just couldn't help myself but liking it. Then came Maiden Rose, Junjo Romantica, Tight Rope, No Money and so many other yaoi... I fell into the Yaoi Land which made me one of the happiest man ever. I'm now 22 and still am craving for Yaoi.
I'm so much of a fan that my personal collection has over 1500 yaoi books.
so my oldest sister in your family read yaoi, and our family Already knew. So every time we saw her reading yaoi. We would joke around about it(btw this was when I was like 7). Then When I was 11 or 12 I started to get into yaoi and realized that I sum what enjoyed reading it.
Why? I'd been around gay guys since I was a girl, and when I found out about a particular friend it really sparked my interest. It was just something natural to me. And then I fell in love with Junjou Romantica's Usagi from the anime. THEN I read the manga. Never looked back!
Why did you start reading yaoi?
