I find the people who loves to say 'Why can't you accept others having different opinions?" are usually the ones with the most stupid and brainless opinions. And they simply can't handle someone rebutting them because they're simply too stupid to give a good rebuttal.

I like the fact that we all have different opinion and points of view, and i like debating.
But I'm pretty annoyed by people too full of themselves who answer arrogantly, and pick fights with others just because they are "ohhh so fabulous" and we are shit.
Saying "it's stupid" is plain dumb and unproductive. Why not try "i don't agree, i think [...]"
I like constructive comments, even if they disagree with mine.
But let's be honest, this is rare... Why so serious? You ain't better than anybody, we all are gonna eat, shit and die anyways...

Welp it's just my opinion but we are supposed to be comrades, sharing a common hobby/passion there is no glory or social status here, fighting is pointless.

I agree, the way in which people phrase their opinions (to agree or disagree) is the main reason for my comments.

I also don't mind people disagreeing with me, constructive criticism actually helps you see things from another's perspective and opens your mind to other possibilities you may not have considered initially.

In a lot of yaoi the characters choose their partners, it does not necessarily mean their partner is good for them or will bring them happiness. eg: Down and Dirty
I'm really over this topic, especially trying to convey my point of view to you who obviously does not want to see it and is so focused on disregarding what I'm saying that it's more about how much you can insult me then actually understanding any of what i'm saying.

Toxic comments go in both senses. Making the discussion possible or impossible goes also in both sides.
What I mean is, when someone becomes agressive fast and resorts to insults or thraws big words to silence others, such attitude is just weird and stupid. (If you are like that and is unable to hear other's ideas/explanations, why talking to people?).
Such agressive attitude, good or bad exists for both parties, because we're individuals. If they're only to express their own opinion and not care about others' opinion, while insulting also others, wouldn't it be best for them to speak to the mirror, right?
Some username here - Fuggy - is part of this strange specy: saying nonsenses, then after forbidding people to reply by saying "Fuck off, get lost!", she also blocks people so they can't even reply.
As I've seen, no one were even rude to her. She's acting like some hysterical asshole who's only here to vent their frustration in life.

I often have the impression that many people, particularly Fujoshis, are here to vent their anger or frustration. Some are plain rude.

When someone express an opinion, they have the right to do, like the ones replying to say how they feel about that opinion.

Opinions may not be big deal, and here even if these reflects most our likes or distastes on fictional words, they also reflect our values or absence of values on something.
Though the situation may escalade depending on the opinion, the context...

Nobody would go in public spaces and dare to say: "Abusing wife is a right given to any husband"; or that incestuous relationship is ok... or that you can marry your dog... unless they're plain stupid. Even though, people will reply in mass against thesz because our Humanity have common morals and values: Justice and protection of the weaks. And speaking to reinforce our values.
Opinions are important to a society, and having the right to express them is essential.

What's not possible is when individuals start to throw insults, personal attacks, or being plain rude to others. Even forbid them to reply, that is nasty.
Infortunately many readers here are like that, expressing one opinion is impossible with that kind of people. Many are young and react most with hormones, we know it, but remember that everybody went through such teenage age and not everybody was such asshole.
No, being young doesn't give you the right to speak like that to others.

When someone shares unpopular opinion, they must also get ready to be flamed by others... Whatever the case always, it always calls our emotional intelligence and social abilities. But it seems some throw these when they come on this site.

Some are incapable of constructive discussions and this, yes, makes the comment section poisonous.
