The concept was that the armour would give back the attack, like the saying “and eye for an eye and a leg for a leg” they did defeat that huge ass snake :)
yeah, but being heroes they should've figured out a way around it (and they did, sort of, with reflective magic), but you'd think that as "heroes from another world", they'd be able to beat a simple commander no matter what the conditions were, like a mc normally would.

hmm... i think you are forgetting that, basically, the MC here are not the 2 heroes, but usato. and they don't have something like 3 years of experience backing them up, plus if the story revolves mainly around usato.. then i think it's normal that he's more OP than the actual heroes.
just curious as to the point of the author, because weak heroes sure ain't gonna win the war. so what's the point of them at all?

Decoration, Cheering Squad, Characters that has to go "wooooow he was stronger than before", also it would be embarrassing for the MC to go praise himself and share bits of how "it's just like this him, before there was this time chuchuchu..." and have a small flash back - imagine if the MC has to narrate all that by himself, and there should be characters that has to be defeated to show how strong the enemies are... LOLZ
The two of them are pretty damn shitty. You'd think they'd be op or at least stronger than that. Hell, if you can't even fare against a simple commander, how the fuck are you gonna defeat the demon king?
