ok listen up friends! 1. we all know how ash was stabbed and "died" in the library? well in the 2nd op of banana fish we see ash limping and it is clearly dark out, so this man woke up and went somewhere (probably a hospital). 2. on the official website where it has a character chart it shows who has died, who is still alive, and who killed them. If a character dies their picture turns gray and Ash's was gray but not anymore! 3. Official art has been released (not sure when) but it has a picture ash and eiji together by the statue of liberty. The angle they are standing at isnt possible to see in new york. It is however, possible to see the statue at that angle in japan!
I did see that op when he was limping (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
So you mean to tell me that the production company stayed faithful to the manga but at the same time they threw in Easter eggs in the op and on the website and we just had to look for them, and not to mention they even released a picture of the both of them together in Japan HAPPY, wow I wanted a S2 but this is even better. I feel so relieved, I can now die in peace (▰˘◡˘▰)

Wait. I only read some chapters in the manga and eiji's clearly devastated of what happened to ash from years ago! ╥﹏╥ idk anymore.
I don't want to read till the end of the manga cos it really hurts me knowing ash is gone :(((( of all the terrible things done to him, all the sacrifices he did and he was just stabbed by the sing's bro ( T﹏T )

Brooo ik exactly how you feel but apparently he’s dead in the manga but in the anime it seems like he’s still alive because in every opening of the show, it shows a bit of the show itself and the last opening we see Ash after he gets stabbed limping in the dark and when he got stab and went to the Library it was still light out so he probably woke up and went for help. then @Pigeon princess said on the official website everyone who died picture turned grey but Ash’s still had color also they released an official art of both of them together basically in Japan by some sort of Lady Liberty Statue.
So I believe manga dead, anime alive. Either way I’m happy he’s alive and with Eiji.
Well, okay. I'm happy to know that he's alive even though it is on anime only. I just can't accept that tragic ending. ㅠㅠ i'm so weak to all im-satisfied-and-accepted-my-death smile ㅠ
