The omegas in this verse have only 1 choice: to obey or not to obey the law IMHO. If you obey then you get locked up first by your parents, then by a school system that stunts your mental growth with playing house classes (not home ec but actual mud pie making, stuffed animal playing house) through age 18...(even quqi is starving for knowledge-wanting to go to a museum instead of an amusement park) all of this is 'to keep them safe' no really to keep em pure so they only have children for the elite Alphas who they are paired with at random by the school's choice..
The fundamental brainwashing is that you as an omega belong to your Alpha once you are bitten. You are property, not a person or individual with thoughts and feelings. You may be one of several omegas serving a single master as a breeder, you get no say in that unless you run away like suan's mama
Well, at first, I thought it was going to be a nice, fluffy story... Now, I feel it's going to be way more than that.
This might become an extremely interesting story about choice...
The omega right now is realising more and more that his love for his alpha do not change the unfairness of society, that as an omega he his destined to just be in love and obey his alpha, and that this state he has to stay will not change... Bringing him to a choice that is to probably choose between him, and his own happiness versus his alpha's.
A bit like Nora's choice in Ibsen's play.
You, and your independence, your self worth and growth, versus what society expect of you, even if it also goes against the people you love. Because it's the only 'right' choice.
Well, tell me what you guys think?
