Personally I cannot relate to Kassans choice. I would never be able to not hate Igen, I couldnt love him. I think Kassans brothers way of thinking in regards to the entire situation was much more normal. Nonetheless it was a good story not my favourite plot but each chapter was beautifully drawn.
Agree. If I were in Kassans place I'll take his brothers route. Tho brother unleashed evil incarnation with himself. Deathscythe
Yeah. And Kassan even mention that his brother change a lot from before their whole family was massacre by the Igen family. His brother was wise, brave, respectable and kind but change 180 degree

I'd change as well if my entire family was massacred and my younger brother captured and tortured.

After the murder of his entire family and the capture and torture of his younger brother his last surviving family member whom he always loved and supported, who took his enemys side and abandoned him. TO be honest I'd have changed also. I can understand why he unleashed evil incarnation

I was pertaining to the part where he would even be so willng to kill his only surviving family, sell him as a slave and rape his very loyal attendant.

I think because he already hated Kassan for taking the enemy's side. That's why he thought Kassan is also an enemy which don't care anymore whatever happened to Kassan as long as he can take revenge to Igen even if he's working with the queen which is also an enemy #-.-)
