I hear you. Tbh, I feel scared to release the next 20 chapters or so because the story will turn very, very dark, & I'm fearful this next development will make people confused, or hate it. I don't even have any stake in the work, & yet I'm worried. So, kudos to Summer, for being such a gutsy author, that she is able to come up with such a unique & incredible piece of work. She fleshes out the personality of each of the main characters so well, that no matter how annoying/hateful they can be, or how weird their view is at the beginning, but in the end, you see the humanity in them, & understand why these attributes contribute to the predicament they're in, in a believable way. She also took the time to slowly build the world inside the story in painstaking details. And I understand the reasoning for this, because it's such an unfamiliar/strange world, it's hard to fathom otherwise. It's a double-edged sword; what can be considered the story's greatest strength, can actually become a deterrent for many readers who want to see the romance develop quickly. I guess a lot of works in this genre are designed to be short & quick, so people are used to the straightforward problem & immediate solution. But this one is different, it's long, deep, complex, & very nuanced. It does take a bit of getting used to, & I know the psychological aspect is also not everyone's cup of tea. But I sincerely hope that people can see past the superficial, & appreciate this work for what it is. ╥﹏╥
this is why manga/manhwa authors must fear making the plot more interesting, because everyone comments 'i'm confused' or 'i don't get it'. it's not that hard, guys. something stretching further than a two-dimensional plot will be great for your brain, i promise.
