Idk why some people still can't get over it. It wasn't that Yoshino didn't pick sensei. It was sensei that pushed her away. The whole manga was literally sensei acting hot and cold until Yoshino got fed up and decided she couldn't keep waiting, it wasn't what she wanted anymore, and that she was crushing on Mamura who was always there for her. Sensei wasn't ready. It's not Yoshino's fault. Girl did her best and she just wanted to be happy. Plus it helped sensei in the end cause finally manned the fuck up.
Agreed. She admitted that she did love him and said he was her first love. Sensei will always have a special place in her heart.
However, I’m proud of her for being able to move on and decide to focus her love and attention on someone who has always been there for her. She’s able to act like her silly self around him and they just enjoy simply hanging out together.
Because they were conditioned to root for the first guy like all those 1526383929 romance stories out there. Realistically speaking, if you get tossed around by someone who constantly sends mixed signals and keeps being vague with their feelings.. You get fed up just like Yoshino and move on. Because the truth, love takes effort on both sides. It’s not just being obsessively fixated with someone and just be the one who onesidedly understand the other’s flaws and keep taking what they throw towards you. A healthy relationship isn’t built like that. You need to also account for your own well-being and how the other looks after you as much as you look after them.
This doesn't make up for her not picking Sensei.
