Seeing how much people are disappointed with the pace, I'm happy to be patient. When I really like a story I don't want it to end quickly: a short story may be cute and all, but I can't get really attached to the characters; a long, slow paced story can get people's attention to characters better than the short type.
I too want to see the main couple again. Seeing YuYang made my heart skip a beat, internally I was happy like I was getting to meet an old friend after a long time. Slowly he'll return, since this couple's story is reuniting with the main, pretty much like the friend and the musician. I just see those chapters like a sort of break from the main problem, a pause for the author to enjoy holidays like everyone does, without having to stop updating.
Just take this as a weekly date in the middle of the routine. You want to see YuYang and LiHuan? They're on a break. I want to read YuYang's development as much as everyone else, I know I'll read it. So have patience, they will return.
This comment is not meant to be offensive, it's just my opinion. And I'm not talking about the complaints regarding HOW the timing is managed, what could have been better to show first, who should appear when and so on. I'm not good with this stuff, and I care little about it, especially when I'm reading and NOT rereading.
Same! Or that the side couples will be used as a positive influence on YuYang outlook on relationships later on in the story, but the author has to build them up now so there is a reason for them to influence YuYang later, not just a random pairing that we don't know.
