I personally think her younger brother looks more her past life brother, though that's a fair point about Nika and her ex-brother having the same "air" (even if one was a farce) thus him being triggering. Looking back, while I do still think her younger brother route would've better connected to her past, I guess it really wouldn't make sense in this point in time since she managed to dodge the route. Still thought it was worth noting. Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)
This manga really took a turn. Really didn't expect such a dark past from her previous life. I honestly feel sick after finishing it. While it does explain her reason for living independently, it was also really /jarring/ to see considering this story started off light with the initial goal of avoiding all capture targets. I generally do appreciate the shift from typical isekai/otome genres, but I feel like this story is juggling too many things at once? Idk it looks difficult to tie in those two main plot points together.
I was actually a bit surprised that the author didn't connect her abusive past with her older brother with the current relationship she has with her younger adoptive one, but instead opted to acknowledged those feelings with Nika, weirdly enough? Simply because he's older and nothing like the brother of her past. With how fucked up her younger brother's route is, I felt like it would've been an easier trigger and would better connect to her past life. But that's just me.
Really curious to see where this goes from here.
