Ik family being nosy can be pretty annoying but next time try to come up with a simple plot or something so you dont leave them with any curiosity or say something super uninteresting so theyre not like oooh show me lmao in times like that its better to lie than be honest bc u already how theyre gonna react if u say the truth sooo

I would've bitch slapped them with the manga. Privacy motherfucker, ever heard of it. You don't go to her house asking to see her underwear drawer.

Ahh my friends don't know I'm obsessed with books like yaoi/yuri and I'd feel bad for buying such books with innocent people XD
I would drive there on my own but I don't live in the city where the bookstore is located and my relatives offered me to come since they were going on errands there also. The moment I live off on my own I'm going to go ravenous and buy as much manga as I want! ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

You'd be surprised how prideful my relatives are when they want to see something they really want to see. Although I didn't give out a flat-out fake plot summary of the book, I'm 105% sure they would of been like "okay cool but nay wanted to see the cover and stuff inside the book so hand it over." (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
I absolutely hate nosy relatives. A while back I was book shopping for the 2nd volume of shimanami tasogare and had to get my aunt & cousin to drive me to the bookstore.
I got the book and was waiting in line to pay for it, but suddenly my aunt asked me what book it was and if she could see.
Now my aunt is Filipino and the only knowledge of lgbt she has are tomboys and bakla in which she does not view in a positive way so there was absolutely no way I was going to show her the book.
I told her it was some random manga but yet she kept insisting to see it despite me saying no and explaining its just a random Japanese comic.
My cousin suddenly grabbed the book from me and handed it to my aunt. Luckily she didn't read the summary and thought the cover had 2 separate people (It was a boy putting lipstick on a girl which was actually "himself" for those wondering) so they didn't throw a fit about what I was reading, but had I bought yaoi/yuri that day I probably would of committed sepaku at the spot.
I don't understand why relatives can't just take no for an answer, it's not like I yelled at her or was rude, I simply said it was just a manga but for some reason she was so eager to know what it's about. Now I know who to avoid shopping with when buying yaoi/yuri at the bookstore smh ( ̄へ ̄)
