Ummmmmm, no. That's not really my thing, I typically read fluff or shounen or shounen-ai. I do know women in real life who have been sexually abused tho. And let's be real, what other kind of abuse would have her literally screaming and running from him when he found her again? She was TERRIFIED of him. So, while we may be wrong, whatever it was was clearly bad.
She was terrified of how she couldnt escape her past. She couldnt escape her brother's shadow wherever she went. That a lot more scarier than people tend to think. Sexual abuse, however, im 100% sure it wasnt.
But yeah the trauma was bad, really bad. I feel for her. There are some people in life that remind you of the worst flaws in you and they pop up at the worst times
Nope. I get where you'd think that--neither her present or past self want to live according to others wills--but I really don't think it explains her terror, the bodily reactions (i.e vomiting) to remembering her past, and the pure predatory depiction her brother has. Also think it's pretty rude to dismiss someone's argument by saying that they're just "used to seeing sexually abused female characters". So irrelevant.
Are they implying that her brother used to sexually abuse her?? geez no wonder she wants to succeed in this life so badly.
