I see a bunch of people call the MC a rapist, but he isn’t?

He didn’t. I think it was an attempt and I use that word loosely to describe it for the scene at the club or house (I can’t remember where it occurred). He didn’t rape the guy.

Exactly. He didn’t rape anyone. It appears to be an act to scare off the other guy (poor taste and old-fashioned in yaoi, I know) rather a genuine rape attempt.
