My thoughts.

So, people are wondering why people prefer the master over the teacher yes? Well... The master is cruel, he murders people, beats them and is a brat!
But everyone already knows that about him. He doesn’t pretend to be a good person. He’s dark with hints of kindness here and there. He’s a stranger and the uke has no feelings for him. He doesn’t trust him. He’s not emotionally hurting the uke. And we all know we can get over a split lip a lot quicker than a broken heart.

Yet here we have the teacher, someone who the uke very clearly looks up to, and probably has puppy love for. And the teacher is a smart man, he knows this. And what does he do? He makes the uke feel ashamed of doing what he loves, he indirectly tells him that two men is gross and something to be ashamed of...whilst harbouring unknown feelings for the uke. We can tell he’s interested anyway.
He manipulated the uke, destroys his passion and even then he still doesn’t care at all. The ukes his possession. Someone he takes for granted and thinks will listen to his every word. Someone he can raise up when he wants but emotionally beat down to when he feels like it.

Both are abusers, both are bad people. But at least the master doesn’t try to hide what he is.
And sounds strange but...the master is unintentionally helping the uke come to terms with his art and sexuality.

Hmm this gave a chance toto see the teacher in a new light. I was also confused about his actions. And I feel just because seme is mot inflicting emotional abuse doesn't make his actions correct. I don't see how he is helping the uke to come to terms with his sexuality??

because he’s showing the uke that he’s not ashamed to be with men, and that in fact he loves it. And so do other men, he doesn’t act embarrassed or shy when having sex. And he wants the uke to watch him and paint him whilst doing it.

And whilst being exposed to this the uke might start to think that it’s not so shameful. That even masters and lords do that kinda thing. Where as the teacher, the one who’s status was above his own, and someone he admired always told him it was disgusting and wrong.

Both men are above him and could be seen as influential to him and his growth. The teacher certainly isn’t helping with his sexuality that’s for sure.
