yeah i think its a trend in manhuas (chinese manga). The story line is usually cliche and over used, characters are shit, and they really suck at explaining what the hell is going on. I don't wanna throw shade on manhuas but I have yet to read a decent mahua... Do you have any good reccomendations?
I don't know if it's manhua but recently one of my fav have been http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/my_dear_cold_blooded_king/. it's not lovey dovey only, so I don't know if you'll be your liking.

I think the author was really lost in the start, parts of the story is missing, you don't know why the things started. She is really naive, goes with anyone and agrees with everything accept the male caracter. soooo weird.
