We've had that situation before and I believe mangago simply pulled the manga/manhwa from the site without notice to prevent any further action.
I understand the author's frustration though, imagine suddenly losing profit to a work you have spent months on and seeing that people could simply read your work for free and not even bat an eye to the situation the Mangaka could be in. I'd be pretty pissed also.
Although sometimes we just can't help it, depending on where we live, our economic status.etc some of us aren't in the place to purchase directly from the authors and have to use second-hand websites to read them.
If I could buy BL manga I would but I live in a pretty old-fashioned family who just happens to love to peek into my mail & credit card transactions so I guess there's no way for me to buy physical/digital copies of BL :(
While the story does not interest me, I absolutely love her attitude. She's revealed she barely makes any money from the English version of painter of the knight and I felt really bad as an artist myself you know? There are over 4k people who have voted for the story, you'd think at least 10 of them would buy it and support the author.
She's tracking down all illegal sites with her comic and is threatening law suit. She's talking about how the overseas profit gets reduced because people read it illegally.
I don't really support these but i really hope the site doesn't get taken down because a lot of other good manga are here too.
