In this manhwa's defense, we're not very far into the story yet, so the characters still have a lot of room to develop some redeeming qualities...
Yeah I get what you mean but in most cases a lot of manhwa/manga that are like this just end up being porn with a bad executed plot

Not every story has to have nice characters. I think this is what makes this story interesting
I think it's waaaaaay to early to judge this story yet. So far I think the director is doing a good job of setting up the story. There is a strong foundation here. But only 14 chapters are out. Give it a little more time.

Having backbone in that situation is basically committing suicide. A man died in the 1st chapter only because of a small misunderstanding.
We don't know if this is going to be like most manwha though, it just got started.
Yeah, not to forget that someone, who the painter holds dear, is currently having his life/livelyhood threatened.
Idk but reading this I realized the the story lacks important redeeming qualities most story's do have. The only thing that's good about it is the art. The seme is very unlikable, the uke(?) has no backbone
