Because the main character is the focus of the story after all. I think I only saw it in one story where someone else and not the mc rescued a friend who'd turned evil, but it was a big story with a lot of characters, so

I don’t know why it’s always the main character that try to help there friends become good again when they are evil and they refuse to become good again until few chapters or more,but when the main character turn evil everyone is trying to make him/she become good again.its pissing me off (￣^￣)ゞ
