I remember reading one a while back where at the very beginning a couple has a fight and the seme falls causing him to completely forget his lover. At the ukes request the seme's friends and family pretend they weren't together because the uke wants the seme to have a shot at a normal life.
The uke was an author I believe and the manga is basically how the seme falls for him all over again.
I also recall their couple rings being important to the plot at some point.
