i dont think i'd recover from lossing a baby that fast at all. maybe in 6 years or so

Yeah. I thought it was pretty amazing that the Duke of Macho went all boo hoo over his dog (not that there is anything wrong with that), but seemed quite indifferent about the death of his unborn child. I feel very sad when a beloved pet, cat or dog, passes on, but I would be devastated at the death of my child.
