So far we know that doyoon couldn't drink blood after he was 6 so instead he absorbed essence. First from jooyoung and then through sex. He now cannot absorb essence meaning his body has changed and if he doesn't feed his life is over.

But what we know is that nux gave the blood to dark haired to give to jooyoung to give to doyoon. Dark haired wants doyoon dead so he said he will kill doyoon first then give the blood to jooyoung.
What we know about nux is that his blood has the power to turn mixed breeds like doyoon into a pure breed vampire and per jooyoung request for the blood, nux is giving it to him but is going to stay out of the affairs between dark haired, jooyoung and doyoon.
