Yeah, the next time I get a day off I'm actually planning a trip to the bookstore to buy it. I just couldn't remember the name and I wanted to make sure it was in stock before I went.
I've been trying to find this for a few hours now--it's a manga I read a few months back that was still updating but I read it on another site so I didn't get a chance to bookmark it.
The two main characters were an older man with purple eyes and a giant forest oni that saved him from being mugged (I think also raped??? Can't really remember.) The oni ends up saving the old man again when he goes to fall off the side of a cliff (sorry trying to grab at scenes here to help) and they eventually agree to travel together so long as the oni keeps hidden in the old man's shadow.
Any hints would be amazing.
