To be honest this story bothers me because the central conflict had such potential: an omega that because of his family conditions is trying as best as he can to break out of the omega stigma, and an alpha who is as powerless before a heat as the omega himself. So many great conflicts could've been explored here if they hadn't gone the fluffy route and they hadn't given the alpha some weird Insta-love backstory as justification. I'm all for fluff but this made me sad because I wanted to see some real character clashes. What would happen if two people of strong personalities were forced together because of the heat (which is ultimately the plot device designed by omegaverse stories to achieve this same result). We could've had an omega who was resentful that his dreams were put in jeopardy and unwilling to give up all his hard work while at the same time struggling with the knowledge that, whether he likes it or not, this person is now his only chance at having a family. Conversely, we could've had an alpha who was ashamed of his lack of control and willing to shoulder the responsibility, while of course remain in reluctant to trust his entire future to someone he barely knows when he doesn't really have to. I guess I'm just disappointed because I can see how this series would've been another amazing Kashikomarishita Destiny if only it had been approached different, and instead it just ended up as another run-of-the-mill omegaverse rapey story.
