Apparently, these webtoons and novels and movies show really watered-down versions of bullying. The first webtoon I read which included severe bullying was "Save Me" and my heart broke seeing how the MC was treated and how everyone enjoyed watching him get bullied and even the teachers turned a blind eye to it, even though all the characters were fictional I couldn't stop crying. After that I researched a little bit and apparently bullying in Korea is much worse than you see in the webtoons and movies. It has one of the highest bullying rates and suicides due to bullying.
Damn that spoiled ass bully is really fuckin worse than a monster!! It really keeps me wondering if these kinds of extreme bullying often happen in Korean schools because of all the webtoons and Korean novels I've been reading lately like lookism, the devils boy, this one and there are other 3 webtoons I forgot the title but with the same concept of bullying . The bullying depicted there is really disturbing like spitting and making someone lick it, telling someone to jump on the roof or commit suicide, getting beaten up badly resulting in coma, blackmail using nude photos, extortion of money, or being ostracized by the entire classroom. I really find it scary when someone takes pleasure from the misery of others like idk how their twisted mind works they're just plain crazy and its even more scary considering they're just teens and students but capable of these atrocities.
