Apparently the mean husband guy is gonna fall for the FL (and will eventually back her up) but ultimately, they're not going to end up together. She thinks of him as a brother, seven wasted years with that husband before the peaceful divorce. She's going to end up with the childhood friend guy mentioned in ch 1.
