I don't think she's bad since she seems to genuinely care about Chika.
It's not that she is against the girl entering the forest, but more because she wants to protect the forest. In order to avoid another tragedy, she wanted to forbid human from entering the forest and Chika being a human, it includes her.
i think you misunderstood the other sprites/yokai and uba before he became besties with chika had a grudge againt her because itachi died to save her (willingly but still). the mountain god was indifferent and just didnt welcome chika with open arms.
I thought she's a good mountain god but it turns out she's again the girl entering the forest!? Screw mountain god I want Uba
