Maya admired Kouhei but she liked Taichi, that's why she couldn't do anything about her feelings for Taichi because Kouhei (who she admires and respects and cares about as a kouhai) likes him. And she just honestly wants the both of them to be happy, even if that means she'll only be a friend/supporter to the both of them.
Honestly, I was confused about who Maya really liked before because it seemed like she understood Kouhei's feelings towards Taichi. Like she could see Taichi's charm and redeeming points and it seemed like Maya shared the same tastes as Kouhei, meaning, she likes the same person as Kouhei. But then she kept denying her feelings out loud so I kept wondering if she really like Taichi, especially when she acts shy around Kouhei.
The latest chapter just confirmed that she was just in-denial about her feelings for Taichi this whole time. It also showed how pure her feelings are for both Kouhei and Taichi. She didn't want to see them so sad and hurt, so to her, it didn't matter whatever she felt for either of them, all she wanted is for them to be happy and if they can only be happy with each other and not with her, it's fine.
I'm just so proud of Maya. She's a very good girl.

So is Maya in love with taichi or Kohei? I was thinking that she was in love with Kohei and jealous of taichi but now I am confused
